Still trying to figure this one out. This was Francis Ford Coppola? Really? It is such a lightweight film, half-baked with a tossed-off lead performance by Val Kilmer. He seems unsure if he’s supposed to be doing drama or comedy, but once Bruce Dern shows up acting all manic screwball, the tone is set. Such a shame – I expected much more from this cast and crew…
