I am a Graphic Designer with 10+ years experience in both print and online. I am detail-oriented, flexible, and able to multi-task. I am comfortable either taking direction or being the project lead, with excellent interpersonal skills. I am passionate about design of all kinds, and bring with me a diversity of experience that keeps my work fresh and interesting. My skill set includes:

Graphic Design: color theory, typography, semiotics, composition, storytelling, corporate identity, logos.

Online: website schematics, wireframes, web pages and full sites; HTML newsletters, clean HTML and CSS code, cross-browser compatibility; user interface, usability and interactivity.

Print: page layout, brochures, sell sheets, posters, advertisements, magazines, book covers, letterhead and other corporate identity pieces.

VIZ Media - (San Francisco, March 2002 - February 2009)

Design Manager at VIZ Media (July 2008 - February 2009)
With responsibilities fulfilled in Strategy, I returned to the VIZ Media design department. Advertising and promotional print design for in-house publications as well as industry publications, trade-show signage, property sell sheets, etc. Also oversaw all corporate identity production, e.g. business cards, letterhead, promotional products, etc.

Director, Strategy & Business Development at VIZ Media (January 2007 - July 2008)
Responsible for research and analysis of new business opportunities, specifically in the then-emerging Web 2.0 areas of social networking, virtual worlds, widgets, blogging, and viral marketing. Position leveraged prior experience in same company as Director of Online Services.

Director, Online Services at VIZ Media (January 2006 - January 2007)
This position began when my previous employer merged with VIZ Media. Oversaw all web initiatives for company localizing Japanese manga and anime in North America and Europe. Included web marketing initatives such as e-newsletters and managing relationships with partners, as well as brand management in terms of aligning online presence with company's print products, trade show presence, printed marketing materials, etc.
